I experienced delays in Excel whenever I would copy/paste some cells, like this:
A delay of 1 to several seconds was clearly noticeable and inconvenient.
I started to review what had recently changed on my Windows computer. Turns out this was caused by a printer setting: I had recently set a default printer (a network printer), and whenever that printer was not online, I would experience the delay.
I removed that setting and no longer have the copy/paste delay.

FWFI, it’s probably related to this https://superuser.com/questions/262358/excel-cut-n-paste-error-message-the-picture-is-too-large-and-will-be-truncate Team Viewer is just one case. The Shell is asking all opened view D&D targets when something is copied to the clipboard. It then calls DragEnter with the clipboard passed it (as a Data Object). Any target (maybe some printer driver software) can then gather all possible data from this Data Object. For some reason, when Excel adds CF_METAFILEPICT and CF_ENHMETAFILE formats to the clipboard, no one can read from them or will suffer the message in the link, or other funky problems.
